What if I do nothing? "Status Quo" is always an option. Of course, by doing nothing, you will continue to be exposed to rapidly increasing utility costs. The US Department of Energy predicts the cost of water and waste disposal will increase 10% annually. Additionally, it is likely that you will face an increased burden of maintenance due to the fixture degradation from chloramines in the water. How do I know it will work? Our past customers serve as excellent testimonials to the performance of our past projects. They, more than anyone, can tell you whether or not this "works." Contact HydraMetrics Main Office for our references and customer success stories. How much can I save? In most building types, the water used in toilets, sinks, urinals, and showers typically accounts for the majority of facility water use. Industry benchmarks indicate that we can often reduce water consumption in these areas by approximately 30%-40%. This reduction often translates into a 10% to 20% reduction in all overall building water consumption. How does this really differ from the low-flow technologies? There are many good low-flow technologies in the marketplace. Yet, unless the existing building water and waste delivery system is carefully evaluated and accounted for, even good products applied uniformly in a building will inevitably cause operational problems. We apply an engineering approach to water consumption reduction. We thoroughly analyze the existing water and waste delivery systems to identify opportunities for flow reduction. Once we have that understanding, we carefully tune each fixture (Variable Flow Technology) to the right amount of water. It is our understanding of existing systems and individual attention to each fixture that ultimately differentiates our approach from low-flow technologies. How do you ensure customer satisfaction? We will work hard to earn your business. We will work even harder to meet or exceed your expectations. Our motivation is simple; we want to retain you as a positive reference for our business. We have and will continue to build our business on our reputation and performance with past customers. We ensure customer satisfaction by following our time-proven process. We start by understanding your goals and objectives associated with the project. We then make sure that your expectations align with our planned deliverables. And, we don't over promise financial savings. We also ensure customer satisfaction by providing a seamless, turn-key installation that takes into consideration your customers and facility's operational constraints. It is our goal during installation to minimize any inconvenience for you, your staff, and your customers. We follow installation with a diagnostic process that often includes a follow-up site visit to address outstanding issues. Finally, we work with you over time to ensure that you achieve your expected financial and operational results. Will you replace all of my toilets? To answer simply, no. Although we did consider the use of the new fixture technology, we opted to align ourselves with a 24 year-old technology that provides superior financial and operational performance when compared with fixture replacement. When compared to fixture replacement (with low flow toilets), our approach yields two to three times greater return on investment. Moreover, our approach doesn't cause "double flushing," a characteristic often associated with fixture replacement. Waste systems in existing buildings are often not compatible with new, 1.6 GPF fixtures. We recognized that we could not advocate a solution that may result in poor operational performance. Can I expect the savings created by a project to sustain over time? It is obvious that our customers would be greatly disappointed if they needed to replace our components every few years, especially if the project pays for itself in the same timeframe. That's why we use only the best technologies; each component is manufactured with materials designed and tested to endure continual exposure to the sediments and chloramines in water. Moreover, our partners test each component with one million cycles to ensure that it is able to withstand the rigors of substantial use. We are so confident in the longevity of these parts, that we guarantee them for three years! These characteristics contribute to sustainable financial and operational performance over time. How will this affect our future plumbing maintenance? Part of our goal is to drive your maintenance costs to zero, on the fixtures we addressed. We can only accomplish this by providing superior installation and products. Each installation undergoes a rigorous commissioning process to ensure operation of every fixture. Moreover, when you consider the enduring quality of the products, we virtually eliminate maintenance for years to come. Now, you will be able to perform maintenance on your terms - on a proactive, planned basis. And yes, you can perform your own maintenance! When that time arises, you will find that maintenance merely consists of the replacement of a few common "wear" parts…you will be amazed how easy it is to retain the flow control/efficiency technology that we implemented years earlier! Will I have to buy parts from HydraMetrics after my 3-year warranty expires? If so, what is the replacement cost? No, you don't have to buy through HydraMetrics. Because national manufacturers produce all "wear" parts, these components are readily available through national and local supply houses. Obviously, replacement cost is dependent upon your location and your relationship with your plumbing supply house. Generally speaking, when compared with your current inventory, you will find most (if not all) components to be of a similar cost. How long will it take to complete a project? Typically, we'll deploy a two-to-three person crew in a given area. A crew can typically complete a flushometer retrofit in about 45 minutes. The same is true for tank toilets. Shower retrofits are less time consuming, in that we require about 20 minutes. Sinks require even less time, often requiring about 10 minutes. Simply multiply these unit times by the number of fixtures, add 10-20% downtime, and you'll have a pretty good feel for the duration of installation. What happens if I don't save as much money as you promised? We can provide a guaranteed method of delivery such that we financially reconcile any shortage after a predetermined length of time. I like the concept, so what do we do next? Please contact us at HydraMetrics. You'll find that our process is easy to understand and doesn't require an extraordinary amount of time and/or resources. Do you have references I can speak with? Yes. We work hard to satisfy our customers. As a result, our past customers welcome the opportunity to discuss their experience with water efficiency and our approach. Out of respect for their time, however, we do not publish their names in the public domain. Please contact us at HydraMetrics to receive our references. How do you calculate savings? If you make the investment of time by working with us to identify your opportunity, we will gladly share our savings calculation methodology. Why can't I perform the work myself if the materials are available on the open market? Many have tried without success. For 25 years, we have studied building systems, and more specifically, flow characteristics of fixtures. This experience provides the capacity to "fine tune" domestic water fixtures. Like many other forms of efficiency such as fine tuning a car engine, trimming fuel-to-air ratios on a boiler, or auditing your financial statements, water fixture "fine-tuning" is a specialized process of knowledge, intellectual property, skill, and experience. Also, while the materials you will need to perform maintenance in your facility are available in the open marketplace, the proprietary Variable Flow Technology is unique to HydraMetrics. Can you provide financing? Yes. Put simply, we work with you, in your unique situation, to provide procurement options that best fit your financial goals and constraints. How much time will be required from my staff to reach the point of a business proposal? Considering the value of the resultant proposal, the investment of time is small. You will probably spend about one hour of office time and about two hours of escort and investigation time. I'm planning a facility renovation in 2-5 years. Can I still benefit from the upgrade? Yes. The components we use are available on the open market. If the payback opportunity will deliver savings up to the renovation, then the building upgrade we provide can be transferred to the new project renovation for sustained success. |
