We retrofit water usage fixtures using our unique Variable Flow Technology, accomplished through a combination of new component hardware, new technology, and experienced engineering. For details, click on the following:
| Flushometer valves are common devices that meter the amount of water that flows through toilets and urinals. During our project, we will either retrofit or replace the flushometer valves in your facility. In doing so, we replace all internal components with our unique Variable Flow Technology that enables us to control flow in pint increments, thus allowing us to "tune" each fixture to the "right" amount of water. | | |
You can maintain "tuned" levels of flow over time simply by following the easy-to-follow instructions documented in our Operations and Maintenance manual. Additionally, you can always gain access to flushometer "wear" parts through national and local distributors - you are not held hostage to a proprietary technology.
Like flushometers, we will replace all internal toilet and urinal components with our unique Variable Flow Technology that enables us to "tune" each fixture to the "right" amount of water. We start by using only the best components available on the market, each of which exhibits superior performance and longevity characteristics. We couple superior products with advanced knowledge and experience; we understand that the tank toilet is a system, and that all components of this system must work in concert with one another to provide desired operational results. Most showerheads and aerators available in the marketplace are pressure dependent devices, meaning flow rates vary directly with incoming pressure; these devices are nothing more than glorified restrictors. Moreover, as sediments accumulate, flow-through area is restricted and water flow decreases. Decreased flow translates into decreased performance, and therefore unsatisfied customers.
"In observing (sink) operation, it would appear that the water pressure has been increased, but in reality, our annual water consumption has been reduced by 7.6 million gallons."- Steve Swanson, Operations Director, Maplewood Mall
In contrast, the flow control devices (sinks and showers) HydraMetrics installs in your facility are of a robust construction (all metal - mostly stainless steel). Moreover, these devices are pressure independent; they provide your customers with the same level performance at all pressures between 20 and 120 psi. Furthermore, we make the change transparent to the end-user through careful deployment of different flow rates and patterns depending on sink use / application. Finally, the components we deploy exhibit self-cleaning characteristics that reduce the likelihood of sediment accumulation often associated with standard aerators and showerheads.
